What is the Equipment Card?

The Equipment Card for an equipment item in UNITY contains all available information about the selected item, as well as access to additional tools that can be used in relation to that item, depending on the user’s level of permission.

The Equipment Card

  • The View button will open a pop-up window displaying a tab view of the information in the Equipment Card, with additional information available, such as the Work Order History of the item
  • The Edit button allows users to add to or modify the information included on the Card for the selected item (permission-based)
  • The Files button allows users to add to or modify the attachments that have been uploaded to Card for the selected item (permission-based)
  • The Connect button allows users to add to or modify the upstream/downstream connectivity of an item (permission-based)
  • The Work Order button is accessible to all login users and it allows them to create a Corrective Maintenance work order directly associated to the selected item
    • Click +Work Order to create a work order associated to the selected device
    • This will open a brief Create Work Order window where the user can enter a Description, Category, and attach files
    • Click Save to create the work order
    • Click Cancel to discard
    • The work order will automatically be associated to the selected item and will appear in the Active Work Orders section of the Equipment Card
  • The Properties button is visible to all users and may display additional information about the selected item
    • For users with advanced Equipment permissions in UNITY, the Properties button will be located under the More section of the Equipment Card (see below)
    • Equipment Properties are currently not editable in UNITY
    • Click Back to exit the Properties view and return to the main Equipment Card
  • The Center button is visible to all users and can be used to refocus the print view on the selected Equipment item if the user has navigated away from the item’s location on the print
    • For users with advanced Equipment permissions in UNITY, the Center button will be located under the More section of the Equipment Card menu (see below)
  • The More button in the Equipment Card, visible to users with advanced Equipment permissions, will expand a list that includes some of the permissions described above as well as others

    • The Clone button allows users to create an editable duplicate of the selected Equipment item (permission based)
    • The Remove Position button allows users to remove an item from visibility on the current MAP, freeing it up to be re-positioned on a different print (permission based)
    • The Mark as Inactive button allows users to remove an item from visibility on the MAP, updating it to the Inactive status and stopping any scheduled PMs for the item (permission based)
    • The Delete button allows users to completely remove an item from their Equipment inventory in FacilityONE, which is irreversible and only allowed on items that have not appeared on any work orders (permission based)
  • For Electrical Panel devices, there will be two additional buttons: Download Panel Schedule and View Panel Schedule
    • They should appear under the More section of the Equipment Card, but depending on the user’s permissions, these buttons might appear in the main Equipment Card menu
    • Users with advanced Equipment permissions will be able to create and update Panel Schedules 
  • To view Attached Files associated to an item, click the thumbnail picture at the bottom of the Equipment Card to open the file in the File Viewer

    • Click the ← or → to navigate through the attached files (if multiple exist)
    • Click X to exit the Viewer
    • Click the orange icon at the bottom right to enter full screen view, and click icon again to exit full screen
