There are a few different options a user can employ to locate and view existing equipment that is linked to a print.
Main Menu Search in UNITY
- Click the Search button in the Main Menu
- Click the tab labeled Equipment
- Type in a term or keyword, then click the arrow in the Search field to generate results
- The system will search in the following fields, so search terms or keywords related to any of these will generate results
- Equipment ID
- Name
- Asset Tag
- Description
- Serial
- Location Name
- The system will search in the following fields, so search terms or keywords related to any of these will generate results
- Select the desired result from the list to display that device’s information in the View Pane
- Click the Location Chip on the General Tab to be taken to the print view of the selected item
F1 MAPS Search Field
- When viewing a print in UNITY, there will be a search field available at the top left of the print view
- Type in the full name of the device or a keyword from the device name and select the desired result from the drop-down menu to be taken to the location of the selected item on the prints
- Unlike the Main Menu search field, this option only searches by Equipment Name
- Unlike the Main Menu search field, this option only searches by Equipment Name
View by Equipment System Category
- Click the Menu icon at the top right of the screen
- Click the Layers option
- From the Layers menu, select the Categories option
- Choose an Equipment System to view the available Categories
- The only categories that will display here will be those that are associated to devices on the selected floor, so the Categories available to view on one floor might be different from the ones available on another floor

- Check one or more of the available Categories to view all Equipment items under that Category that exist on the current F1 MAP
View by Equipment System/Type
- Open the Layers menu following the same process as above
- From the Layers menu, select the Systems and Types option
- Click a checkbox next to a System name to view all Equipment Types under that System that have been added to the current F1 MAP
- Click the System name itself to view a list of the Equipment Types under that System that have been added to the current SMARTPRINT
- The only Types that will display will be those that have been dropped and saved as Equipment items on the selected print, so the Types available to view on one floor might be different from the ones available on another floor

- Click the box next to the desired Equipment Type(s) to view them on the print
