Locations can be updated, down to the room, to include a label for the party responsible for managing the location, the type of location it is, and the address of the location.
The "Location Managed by" Setting
We’ve added a new "Managed By" field to your location settings so you can clearly assign who is responsible for managing each facility.
What It Is:
The "Managed" By field allows you to designate a person, team, or vendor accountable for a specific location. This setting can be quickly applied to all sub-locations at once, and will automatically be inherited for newly created sub-locations. If different suites in a building are managed by different parties, unique settings can be applied to each.
Benefits:
- Clear ownership: Know exactly who is responsible for each location.
- Faster communication: Direct questions, updates, or issues to the right contact.
- Better tracking: Filter reports by manager or team to evaluate performance or workload.
Tip: Use consistent naming for teams or individuals to improve reporting and filtering.

The "Location Type" Setting
To help you organize and report on your sites more effectively, we’ve provided a "Location Type" field.
What It Is:
The Location Type lets you categorize each location based on its function or role in your operations. This setting can be quickly applied to all sub-locations at once, and will automatically be inherited for newly created sub-locations. If different suites in a building are considered different Types, unique settings can be applied to each.
Benefits:
- Easier organization: Group and filter locations by type.
- Streamlined workflows: Tailor work orders and services based on the type of facility.
- Improved reporting: Gain insights into activity by location category.

The "Location Address" Setting
You can add the full address information to each location to support better routing, mapping, and reporting.
What It Is:
The address fields include "Address Line 1", "Address Line 2", "City", "State", and "Zip Code" for each of your locations. Specific address fields to all sub-locations at once and the setting will automatically be inherited for newly created sub-locations. If you wish for each suite in a building to have its specific address, with the suite name/number included, we can include that in "Address Line 2."
Benefits:
Improved accuracy for on-site work and mobile teams.
Better routing for vendors and technicians.
Location-based reporting to analyze trends by region or territory.
Clean data across exports and integrated systems.
Tip: Always keep address information up to date—especially if you use mobile access, mapping tools, or regional reporting.
